Payments for consultations can be made upfront via EFT, or after your consultation in cash or use of card facilities at the practice

Your birth fee is paid in full by 36 weeks. You can make a once off payment or pay it off until 36 weeks.

Yes I do. Currently contracted with Discovery although I am happy to sign up with your medical aid should you wish to make use of my services to ensure your birth is covered by them
The amount of visits required will depend on your pregnancy and when you start your care with me
Visits can start as early as 8 weeks and are structured as follows: 8, 13, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 38, 39, 40 and 41 weeks
These may vary from person to person
A consultation as well as an examination.
A consultation includes history taking of medical, surgical and previous obstetric history if any.
Examinations are standard for every consultation and include a general examination, urinalysis & blood tests that are billed by the lab used

At the practice in Plumstead. Home visits are conducted at 36 weeks for home birth clients
Yes. All women are welcome to make use of the services provided regardless of where they give birth
Mowbray Maternity Hospital is my back up hospital for birth transfers. However, mom’s will be referred to the hospital closest to her home according to the hospital’s drainage area
I encourage mom’s to have a doula as additional support in labour. A list of doula’s will be provided for you to choose from
I have suture materials, including local aneasthetic to repair tears
No I do not. This is an outdated practice and is not ideal
No you do not. I attend all births with standard equipment needed at a birth.
This includes:
An oxygen cylinder, suction unit, emergency drugs to control excessive bleeding & intravenous fluids to name a few
